The Goodman Ranch has a rich history rooted in the tradition of the Tennessee outdoors. Originally known as Suzi Q Ranch, the property was open land without fencing or major improvements. In 1997, Mike and Pat Goodman purchased the land, added the first fence, and began shaping it into what is now one of Tennessee’s premier hunting destinations. Over time, they built ponds, lodges, a ranch house, and expanded the herds—laying the foundation for the Goodman Ranch experience guests enjoy today. Today, the ranch is proudly owned and operated by Lee, Nikki, Bryson, Kaylee, and Riley Downing, who are dedicated to carrying on the Goodman family legacy. With a vision for the future, the Downing family is committed to expanding animal species, improving the hunting experience, and creating opportunities for year-round exotic hunting in Tennessee, while still honoring the roots of Suzi Q Ranch.
