Goodman Ranch proudly offers premier Blackbuck Antelope hunting in Tennessee, giving hunters the opportunity to pursue one of the most unique and elegant exotic species. Our thriving herd has adapted beautifully to our ranch, and over the years we’ve harvested several Gold Medal Blackbuck trophies, impressing hunters with both their beauty and challenge.
The Blackbuck Antelope is a fast and graceful animal originating from India. Known for their slender build, speed, and distinctive spiral horns, Blackbuck are among the most striking exotic trophies available in Tennessee. Their horns can reach up to 31 inches, with a true trophy Blackbuck measuring over 18 inches. Because they grow horns rather than antlers, Blackbuck can be hunted year-round at Goodman Ranch.

Blackbuck get their name from the striking color of mature males. As they reach 5–6 years old, their coats darken—starting with the neck, shoulders, and head before turning black along the back and sides. Their belly and eye rings remain white, creating a bold contrast.
Females are light brown and usually hornless, while males display elegant, spiraled horns with one to four turns. This unique look makes Blackbuck one of the most beautiful and memorable mounts you can add to your trophy collection.
Blackbuck herds typically roam in groups of 15–20, led by a dominant male. These antelope are highly agile and can reach speeds of over 50 mph, making them both exciting to watch and challenging to hunt. Mature males weigh between 70–100 pounds, and their lean, delicious meat adds to their value as a harvest.
With careful herd management at Goodman Ranch, hunters can expect to take bronze class Blackbuck or better on every hunt.
We encourage all methods of taking game that are legal in Tennessee, Rifle Hunting, Bow hunting, Muzzle loaders as well as crossbows.
