Trophy Elk Hunting
Rocky Mountain Elk were reintroduced to Tennessee several years ago and are thriving
on the wonderful habitat. We are very excited about being able to offer Trophy Elk hunting at
the Goodman Ranch now. Many hunters believe you have to go out west to harvest a trophy
Elk, but now you don't. You can come to West Tennessee and bring home an awesome trophy
Elk. Our bull Elk will average in the 250"-300" range and prices for them start at $6995. Larger bulls are available and are priced accordingly.
This includes meals and lodging for 3 days and 2 nights in our beautiful, rustic lodge.
You can harvest your elk with the weapon of your choice. We will cape and quarter your
animal to be ready to carry home, and take care of all your taxidermy needs. Please book
early, because there are a limited number of hunts for these. We look forward to being part of your first Tennessee Elk hunt.
Hunt Trophy Elk
The North American Elk is one of the most majestic animals that roam our forests.
Their enormous size and the sound of the bulls bugling at close range will excite any
hunter. They once roamed all over the United States, but due to the expansion of the
white man in the 1800’s, they were all killed out of most of their eastern habitats. The
Eastern Elk, which once roamed the forests of Tennessee, has become extinct and now the
Rocky Mountain Elk has been reintroduced to several eastern states, including Tennessee.
Through conservation, we now have herds established in several states and their numbers
are growing. The total Elk population of the U.S. is estimated to be over one million
strong. There are many small herds raised on farms all over the U.S. These Elk are raised
for meat, hunting, antlers, and velvet. In 2013, we reintroduced Elk back into our
ranch. We truly enjoy seeing these beautiful animals once again in West TN.
We encourage you to come and participate in a truly unique and historic guided Elk hunt with us.
We try to do most of our hunting in late summer or early fall just before the rut is
starting to come on. This is the best time to take a trophy Elk because their antlers
are polished out and they have not begun fighting yet. You are welcome to take your elk
with the weapon of your choice. We look forward to hearing from you and feel free to check
out our photo gallery for all the pictures of our many different animals.
